The 45-day Slim-down is an important partner to a fitness training regimen and is designed to help you lose unwanted pounds while still enjoying many of the foods you are already consuming.
The only proven way to take off excess weight the healthy way is to take in fewer calories than you burn. This is called ‘Caloric Deficit’ [CD]. Many of you have established strong, toned muscles, and have lost inches and pounds of fat. However, it is typical to ‘hit a wall’... to get to the point where your body is not reacting to status quo anymore, meaning that the fat and inches will come off slower than the preceding weeks or months. So, even though you’re eating right and training hard, the question you may ask is HOW DO I LOSE MORE FAT?!! When we hit the wall, we need to shock the system....again. This will be accomplished by adding a twist to your nutritional habits, by further conditioning the metabolism to burn more fat as fuel. We will convince your body that it’s okay to let go of those love handles and the other pockets of stored fat the body has been saving for a rainy day, and that it won’t starve in the process. The nutritional program in this series of articles is designed to help you burn more fat as fuel, while maintaining your lean muscle tone, strength, and endurance.
